Marlenka is a layered honey dessert with a pronounced caramel and honey flavour. The sheets are thin and soften as they rest, the cream is thick and nutty. It works just as well with coffee as on a festive table.

The recipe comes from an Armenian honey cake that only reached Central Europe in the 1990s.
