An order becomes binding for us when we confirm it – not when you send it. It sounds formal, but it is there so we never promise you a slot that someone took an hour earlier.

General

Every product carries its allergens under the statutory numbering — most commonly gluten (1), eggs (3), milk and lactose (7) and nuts (8). If a guest has an allergy, tell us when ordering and we will go through the exact composition with you. Our kitchen handles nuts and wheat flour every day, so we cannot completely rule out cross-contamination.

Yes, but strictly to order and with at least 48 hours’ notice — 3 to 4 days is better. We make vegan brownies, cashew cheesecake, egg-free carrot cake and gluten-free almond sponges. We are not a certified gluten-free facility — gluten-free items are made in a separate batch on cleaned surfaces, but we cannot guarantee zero trace gluten.

Whipped-cream and fruit desserts: 2 to 6 °C, eat within 48 hours. Buttercream and chocolate ones keep 4 to 5 days in the fridge. Never store them beside cheese or cut onion — cream and butter absorb odours. Take buttercream cakes out 40 to 60 minutes before serving; whipped-cream ones no more than 20.

Orders

We take orders at least 48 hours before collection. For tiered cakes, hand-modelled figures and larger quantities of banquet sweets, allow a week — oven capacity is limited and Saturdays fill up first. In December and May, a month ahead is not too early.

Yes, the minimum order is 15 €. That applies to pre-orders, not to walk-in purchases — if you stop by and want a single dessert with your coffee, of course we will sell you one.

In the shop we take cash and cards. For larger and corporate orders we issue an invoice for bank transfer. Wedding cakes and big commissions require a deposit, which is what firmly reserves your date.

Changes and cancellations go through 0948 128 000. If you call more than 48 hours before the date, there is no problem. Closer than 48 hours the order is usually already under way — ingredients bought, sponges baked — and in that case the deposit is not refunded. Small changes (an inscription, the number of pieces) we can usually still make at short notice.

Yes. For companies we make banquet sweets, tartlets, savoury platters, filled sandwiches and logo cakes — for conferences, openings and Christmas parties. We invoice by bank transfer as standard and schedule delivery across Bratislava around your event time. For orders over 5 kg, contact us earlier than 48 hours — a week is ideal.

Delivery

We deliver around Rača and the nearby area ourselves; the price depends on distance and order size — for larger orders within Bratislava we can often fold delivery into the total. We confirm the exact figure when we take the order, with no surprises on the doorstep. Tiered cakes we transport personally and assemble on site.

Collection is at Námestie Andreja Hlinku 1, Bratislava-Rača, daily from 11:00 to 21:00. We agree the pick-up time when you order — for cakes we recommend collecting on the day of the event or the evening before, not earlier.

Custom cakes

Roughly 2.8 to 3 kg, which means a 24 cm diameter. We count 90 g per portion when there is other food on the table and 120 g when the cake is the only dessert. Above 40 guests we suggest two tiers, or a smaller cake plus a tray of sweets — the last slices from one wide round never cut cleanly.

Yes, we do edible printing on sugar paper. Send us a decent-resolution image at daniela@nakolace.sk — a photo taken of a phone screen prints blurry. We apply the print on the day of collection, because sugar paper absorbs moisture over time and the colours bleed.

Yes. Tastings run on weekday mornings when the shop is quiet and take about 90 minutes. You taste three sponges, three fillings and two fruit layers; we go through the design, count portions and give you a firm price. If you order, the tasting fee comes off the final total. Book ideally 4 to 6 months before the wedding.
